Some like Shanahan, some think he's a bit of a phony.
I remember a conversation with an influential hockey person - not affiliated with a team - who thought Shanahan's whole "fix the game" thing was aimed at getting himself a job in the NHL offices when he was done.
I've always like him, but I was struck by that opinion

She was in "Baywatch Hawaii," though rarely in a one-piece, as the representative of the councilman who gave everybody a bunch of shit. And, had a pretty decent stretch on "What About Brian," one of the many absolute babes on that show.

  4. Excuse this thread jack, but Viggo Mortensen, to me, played the best Satan ever in "The Prophecy" where he dragged the Archangel Gabriel, played by Christopher Walken, into Hell.

    Please resume the thread now.

Clooney seems to have a lot of Cary Grant in him.

Well, Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid -- two people who you might think were normal -- had a knock-down custody dispute.......over their yogi, or some type of spiritual master.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, but that's pretty Hollywood to me.

My only real celebrity-outside-sports experience was shooting the shit with Ashton Kutcher at the Hard Rock casino in Vegas when we both had money on the same football game. Did watch from afar as Shaq played high roller craps at Caesar's, and some dude lost a lot of money when Shaq crapped out, and the guy just totally berated Shaq. His cool response: "You shouldn't be betting money you can't lose."

He also was around our area to train with a local sheriff's office, and everything I heard was that Shaq was just a good guy to be around. In my limited dealings with him, he's come off as pretty decent. Very dry sense of humor.

My wife's parents live near Bon Jovi, Springsteen and Kevin Smith. Mother-in-law says Bon Jovi is a really nice guy that you see around town doing his shopping, eating out, etc. and is always pleasant. Springsteen himself apparently isn't too bad, but it sounds like his wife is unbearable.

Haven't heard them say much about Silent Bob, but I've been told a few years ago it wasn't too uncommon to have to step over a strung out Jay while walking down the street.

For his size... being SO noticeable.... Shaq may be the most well-adjusted celeb ever.
