Oh, I've long thought that D.L. Hughley deserved more face time on TV. He's excellent.

    And...

Saw it last night, FBI crisis intervention specialists who happen to be sleeping with each other. Very, very promising. I'm going to keep watching it.

    Hughley is way underrated...

I have the Livingston show Tivoed. I'll watch it when work calms down...

Grunberg and Abrams are friends from elementary school or something, they go WAY back. And yes, Grunberg is in Felicity; his character ended up marrying Amanda Foreman's character, and then they reunited on Alias, though their characters on Alias rarely interacted.

    But I digress.

Getting back to Studio 60, I thought Amanda Peet was an interesting casting choice, because I'm just not certain she has the right blend of sass and humor that's going to be necessary for this character. She's supposed to be kind of the Dana Whitaker of this show (hopefully minus the ludicrous romantic entanglements) and I'm not sure anyone can out-Dana the original Dana. :)

Too bad the original Dana is taken....but I guess some people kinda like that housewives show ::)

Have to say, I didn't love the commercials I saw all through the NFL game on NBC last night. But I'm still very excited to see this show.

I've gone really hot and cold on Amanda Peet. Don't get me wrong, she's hot as hell...

She had a movie out called Whipped which was highly underrated. I laughed my ass off and I thought she was going to be a huge star. I read somewhere that she had a really long contract for some TV show on either the WB or one of the other smaller networks... Let's just put it this way, with the amount of TV I watch, if I've never heard of a show, probably not a good sign... :) but apparently the show dramatically limited what movies she could do.

She was very good in Syriana last year. She's obviously not at the level of Felicity Huffman, but I think she can pull it off based on being surrounded by superior talent.

I just watched the full first episode (torrent).

Just wow. You are going to LOVE this show. Every last bit of it.

Matthew Perry, of all people, is going to be walking on gold for the next few years.
