Loopy brought up the Yankee reject angle this morning on TSR.... maybe he really wants to work for AP...

Wish you'd send that to AP Bubs... brilliant

We're talking Joltin' Joe here. No doubt in my mind that he hit it.

Sometimes the AP gets so arrogant with its stuff. Jim Litke wrote a column basically saying baseball's competitive balance was so fucked up (this was BEFORE the Yanks got eliminated). I sent him an e-mail lighting into him for even suggesting such a thing. Guess he's eating a little crow now that the postseason turned out the way it did.

Nicely played, Bubbler. And cool trick with the hidden copy, too. How does that work?

nice post. in all seriousness, you should e-mail or call in your complaint on monday morning when the big shots are in the office. it's patently absurd.

Bubs, great email, I really hope you send it. Also, if you get a chance, could you add a P.S. asking the AP to kindly not send anymore 63-inch NFL "Capsules" that use 6 inches of flowery prose for every game? Thanks.

It's getting easier and easier with NFL ledes from them, Mert. Just slice off the first graf and go from there.

Quite the commentary on AP writing, huh?

You're right, and that's exactly what I did. At least they make it simple.

No argument from here that baseball coverage is overly-New Yorkish...
