Some clown started throwing rocks at the CBS affiliate station here in town last night. Cops get called out and while trying to find the guy, TV cameraman is out with his camera trying to spot the kook. The police, assuming that the cameraman was the kook, fires a shot at him.

Thankfully, he's okay and the clown is in jail.

    Is the cop in jail?

What's more dangerous? Some kook throwing rocks or a cop popping caps at some suspicious looking person 50 feet away?

Cop is on paid leave. The kook's in the slammer. Cameraman counting his blessings.

I'm an unabashed cop apologist, but this is pretty tough to get past.
