    Gotchall beat.

    Thirteen miles away from my doorstep, there is snow on the ground. Just a half-hour beyond that is a ski resort.
    Twenty-four miles away from my doorstep, in a different direction, is the desert. It was 79 degrees there today.
    Fifty-five miles away from my doorstep, in a different direction, is an ocean.
    Sixty miles away from my doorstep, in a different direction, is one of the top-3 most populated cities in the country.

    All above all those places ... there is a brown cloud of Southland smog. ;D
