    US Lacrosse, the national governing body of lacrosse, has an opening for an Online Manager for Lacrosse Magazine in Baltimore.     General Description
    Coordinate and produce content for LaxMagazine.com, a daily news website devoted to all levels of lacrosse and the online home of Lacrosse Magazine, the flagship publication of US Lacrosse.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage daily operations of LaxMagazine.com

    -Post news, scores, blogs, photos, videos and features in real time.
    -Write blogs, columns, features and news articles.
    -Recruit and manage national network of writers, photographers and videographers.
    -Edit copy; write headlines and format content for publication.
    -Liaise externally with CMS provider/website host, internally with web properties manager.
    -Organize and run meetings devoted exclusively to LaxMagazine.com planning.
    -Manage staff writers and frequent contributors for web-only content.

    • Position LaxMagazine.com for growth in online lacrosse media market

    -Enhance design and functionality to best deliver original content.
    -Conceive and coordinate traffic-generating content and campaigns.
    -Develop new features to promote reader and audience engagement.
    -Market content using SEO tactics, social media and Google analytics.
    -Customize CMS to meet goals of organization, publication.

    • Develop and integrate a multimedia plan for audio/video/social media

    -Manage relationship with video platform provider.
    -Produce, interview, write scripts and publish online video features.
    -Produce audio podcasts.
    -Feed US Lacrosse YouTube channel.
    -Secure talent for, and assist in production of, lacrosse tips videos.
    -Work with vendors to produce highlights, interviews and feature packages.

    • Provide content for the organization’s monthly print publication, Lacrosse Magazine

    • Position requires weekend and evening work, and some travel, especially during the spring lacrosse season

    Required Skills, Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Journalism experience (2-3 years)
    • Strong knowledge of lacrosse
    • Familiarity with HTML and Adobe Creative Suites software
    • Experience working in content management systems
    • Ability to multitask and delegate
    • Audio and video production experience a plus
