Baltimore-based Inside Lacrosse is looking for a web-savvy journalist to serve as Online Manager of its primary website InsideLacrosse.com. IL's Online Manager is the direct content editor and manager of InsideLacrosse.com, coming up with weekly editorial plans, producing content, coordinating stringers, delegating in-house editorial contributions and working closely with the Online Editor.

Essential skills include copy-editing, writing, news judgment, photo editing, schedule planning and information organization. At least three years of experience working in media are required. Knowledge of lacrosse and experience with CSS and HTML are strongly preferred.

Inside Lacrosse also produces a monthly magazine (Inside Lacrosse Magazine) and an annual men's lacrosse season preview (Face-Off Yearbook), which complement our web presence.

Inside Lacrosse has a young, energetic, hard-working staff, so a progressive thinker that is full of ideas and constantly looking to improve the status quo is going to succeed here. We're always evolving and trying out new things.

In addition to print and online content and video, IL also organizes major yearly lacrosse events, such as the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic in Baltimore and the Konica Minolta Big City Classic in E. Rutherford, N.J., that place major college teams in front of 20,000-plus fans in NFL venues.

The position is full-time with competitive salary and benefits.

Requirements: Minimum 3+ years of professional online media experience • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field • CSS and HTML experience • Ability to map out and execute long-term editorial plans while also reacting quickly to the fluctuating breaking news cycle. • Ability to write and copy-edit on deadline • Basic knowledge of photo selection and editing. Video experience is a plus

    Please send resumes to jjiloty@insidelacrosse.com.

Inside Lacrosse is a lacrosse-specific multimedia and events company. IL is a property of American City Business Journals and Advance Publications (the nation’s largest private media company and owner of such titles as Sporting News, GQ, Wired and Vanity Fair). Inside Lacrosse properties include: InsideLacrosse.com, NLLInsider.com, LacrosseForums.com, multiple events and our flagship product, which is an award-winning magazine. Our team is youthful, dynamic and most importantly very passionate about our projects. Our brand is quickly expanding and we are in need of an equally driven and talented manager with specific knowledge of the sport to join our team.
