Is this like a rivals/scout type site, or is this the official Kansas sports website?

I think it's a very legit site and very respected in the industry, IIRC. Probably a good gig whoever gets it.

It's owned by the Lawrence Journal-World (that's World-Journal for some of you), but I'm not sure what the working arrangement is.

Yeah, I was thrown off by the KUsports.com title. I just checked it out. Definitely legit.

I thought it was just their CSTV site, i.e. UMTerps.com or MGoBlue.com, but it looks pretty good and independent.

It really is a fantastic site. It's probably one of the best college sports sites run by a newspaper in the country. They do a fantastic job with it.

    Certainly a credible, journalistic site.
And certainly in a cool part of the country.

Unrelated -- gotta love the ads for KU ringtones at the bottom of the this page.

  11. Yeah, it's legit. The site run by the Jayhawks is www.kuathletics.com

And interestingly enough, I've got an ad for K-State ringtones now.

And let me add, there are a fair number of papers trying to copy this method, whether they know it or not.
