They're taking over the slot the Rolling Stones had to cancel at New Orleans Jazz Fest. Be prepared to pay out huge money though, as the organizers added an extra night for the Stones, which had already sold out before news of Jagger's illness broke.

I don’t know how the three surviving members resisted a sitting money pile all these decades. Just get Jason to sit in for Bonzo or shoot, even Phil Collins like in Live Aid.

This has got to be an April Fool's thing, no?

Because Plant has said repeatedly he doesn't want to be doing karaoke for a crowd, which is how he said it would feel to him. They have more money than they'll ever need, so why tour unless you've got good, new music. It's not such a bad thing for old rockers to have some dignity. As LZ said in a statement, it's the 50th anniversary of JazzFest, the 50th of LZ was last year, and the Stones dropping out created a need and an opportunity. Wins all around.

I wish I could swing going to this show. Went to JazzFest three years ago and it rained out one day completely (when I was supposed to see Stevie Wonder, Beck and Snoop Dogg).
