    Don't buy a lot of books right now, but might buy this one just for the entertainment.

    Can't remember who wrote it (perhaps Paulie Newberry in ATL) but I'll never forget this one:

    "The NFL is trying to stop the spread of Ron Mexico."

    Story was in reference to fans buying Michael Vick No. 7 jerseys and having them personalized, to which the NFL squashed the attempts. To refresh, Ron Mexico was Vick's alias when he allegedly gave some chick an STD a few years back. Classic lede for sure.

    Yeah, that's the all-timer. The lede for his "Pearl Harbor" review ain't bad either ...

    Schneider was nominated for a 2000 Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actor, but lost to Jar-Jar Binks.
