The parents of a 6-year-old Virginia boy who tried to drive to school in his family's sedan after missing the bus are facing charges of child endangerment.

This story just cracks me up. I know it's sad, but thinking of this kid standing on the seat and driving six miles so he can make P.E. just makes me laugh.

Hopefully they will put up video.

Sorry, but the child endangerment charge is bullshit.

I don't disagree, AQB, you never know what the little fuckers will do next, but there are concerns here.

First, how come neither parent had close enough tabs on the kid to keep him from taking the keys and going for a ride?

Second, the fact that he "learned how to drive by playing Grand Theft Auto," raises eyebrows. what's a six-year-old doing playing that game?

They might not have enough to make this charge stick, but where there's smoke, there's usually fire. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if they find out those video games double as a babysitter, or something worse.

My first thought here was "How can the mother be responsible if she was asleep". Then I thought "Why is the mother asleep while her six-year-old son gets ready to go out in public (where he could be snatched up by some psycho) and take the bus?"

I guess there was a court order stating that the mother was not to be left alone with the child.

I need to find the video, but I guess the child learned his driving skills playing Grand Theft Auto.
