Speaking of one-hit wonders, at least in the States.

She was a one-album wonder up here.

Good thing Tommy Tutone had 867-5309.

Here is some of their other work:

    Ditto the Sister Hazel mention.

"Champagne High" is a tremendous song, as are "World Inside My Head", "Effortlessly", "Fortress", "Your Mistake", "Mandolin Moon", and plenty of others.

Got some great new songs they are getting ready for an new record coming out soon I heard at a recent show.

Shawn Mullins is similar with his monster hit "Lullaby". However, he's been putting out great work since then, including "Shimmer", "No Blue Sky", and "Beautiful Wreck"

Not sure they even qualify as a one-hit wonder, since their most famous song ("Jenny Says") topped out in the mid-20s and got modest radio airplay, but Cowboy Mouth has had some great, great songs over the years. If you were a southern college student in the mid-to-late 1990s, you probably saw them. Incredible live band in their prime, and still touring. A few of their songs have been on soundtracks and commercials over the years, but nothing that hit it big on the mainstream charts.
One of their post-Katrina songs, "The Avenue," is incredible. Runs the range of emotions from cynical, to sad, angry, utter despair, and finally proudly defiant -- pretty much what anyone who has a connection to the city went through during that time.

Another Louisiana band that deserves mention is Better Than Ezra. Their biggest hits came off their first album, then they petered out from there. Even so, they've had some really, really good songs. The greatest hits album is worth your time. Not a bad song on it.
"One More Murder" is a spooky, funky little tune.

    What did she do?

TTD said his album was the most important since Sgt. Peppers.

For John Eddie, "Jungle Boy" (off the same album as "Pretty Little Rebel") was a bigger hit.
John's put out a handful of albums since then, some good stuff, but nothing near being a hit (at least for him).
One of his songs, "Low Life" was a minor hit (or major hit, I don't know) for Kid Rock.

Kind of a cross thread, but scrolling through the covers of Rolling Stone while trying to judge the validity of people's complaints about the Boston Bomber cover, was interesting. A lot of "Next Big Things," a lot of "Friends of Jann" but it was noticing the gradually slippage of RS being "ahead of the curve" to chasing whatever "hot" thing was out there.
