Don Johnson's one hit: The title? And just how bad was it?

Heartbeat and it was quite bad.

Another clue on my last: The band has something in common with the bands that performed the hits "Kyrie" and "Hungry Like the Wolf."

What 90s group became the first New Zealand act to hit No. 1 on a US Billboard chart?

If that's not OMC, I'm going to be disappointed.

It is. What does OMC stand for?

Well-played. We would have also accepted "overdramatic schlock."

Otara Millionaires Club. And the fact that I know that is ... well, how bizarre.

A member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, she's composed major hits for Pink, Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera.

Who is she, what band did she front, and what was their one hit?

Y'all are putting his shit right in my wheelhouse. Only 90s kids will know this!

Very good. I'll drop back a decade. Who in the world are these people, and what was their hit?

I didn't know much about the Twin Cities music scene until I started looking at one-hit wonders tonight. But it's pretty impressive. Following in the Replacements and Husker Du's footsteps, name three alternative bands from Minneapolis ( or at least the front man was from there) with one hit between 1995 and 1998.
