On what NFL players are drinking

    In a wonderfully detailed story, a revealing what-he-drinks detail in the second-last paragraph.

    Funny to come across one so soon after the lime juice/Patron discussion on these boards.

    It works really well there. By describing his favorite drink, he set up that "would drink whatever was in front of me" (or whatever the quote was, didn't bother to look it up)
    Abraham's drinking problems make up a big chunk of the story, it doesn't feel as random as it did in the piece on James.

    I agree with am here. Nice set-up and close.

    In this story, it's a relevant piece of information as opposed to a random piece of color.
