It sounds funny as hell. I can't imagine ever being able to watch any of it.

I'm a huge fan of this show, and it's as tame as watching old porn could ever be. Lots of boobs and old-school hairy crotches. And Attell is hilarious.

I loved the one with Bill Burr and Nina Hartley, because it was the current-day Nina Hartley watching and commenting on movies she did back in the early and mid 1980s.

 

The only episode I've seen with the one with Cumming and Jeremy. Very funny stuff -- way funnier than Cummings' show on NBC.

 

Dammit! I just canceled Showtime a few weeks ago. I'd watch the shit out of that.

 

Nina is a first-ballot Hall of Famer in my book. Not familiar with this show but if they get Kay Parker or Kristara Barrington on there I gotta know about it!

 

The current-day Nina Hartley looked damn good, too. Not to get all creepy-porn-guy, but I think someone like Asia Carrera would be very good, also. Seems to be smart, quick-witted, etc. Marilyn Chambers (RIP) would have been good on there.

The only other one I've seen had 3 current day porn "stars" who were commenting on the old films they were watching. It was OK, but funny to see their reactions the first time they saw John Holmes.

 

Interviewed Ron Jeremy some years ago. Seemed a bit out of it, kept saying he was tired. Hey, maybe if I made my living like he does I would be gassed all the time too. Interviewed Peter North, he was a little more, uh, up for a chat. Ahem....

 

It's a crime that Attell isn't better known.

I've seen him do comedy several times, most of which were on nights when he was just working stuff out at the Comedy Cellar and he has to be one of the funniest comics working.

 

Have you heard about the new group going out on together on tour? It's Attell, Doug Stanhope, Jim Norton and Artie Lange.

I don't know how funny the post-heroin Artie Lange is, but that has the potential to be an incredible show.

 

At a bachelor party about a decade ago, we took a friend to see Andrew Dice Clay as a joke. He was a friend from high school and we had all seen Dice in the late 1980s. He happened to be playing when we were there.

Dice's opener was Jim Norton. He just killed. I think if we could have left halfway through Dice's set without drawing attention to ourselves, we would have.

Norton was awesome. I've never seen Stanhope, but I'm familiar with his stuff. Lange, who I love, is probably the least funny of the group, but he's probably the headliner.
