I've read 'The Caine Mutiny' but have never watched the movie.
    Great book.

Casablanca, of course, but I could reel off tons of them. Just saw Mr. Deeds Goes to Town and Talk of the Town not long ago.

And wasn't The Caine Mutiny in color?

How about that, 'The Caine Mutiny' was in color.

BTW, we watched 'Gaslight' last year. Love that movie.

    "Pride of the Yankees"

It's cheesy in spots, but it's still a great story. Cooper's speech at the end is emotional, even if it's not accurate.

I'm a sucker for Bing Crosby in "Going My Way" and "The Bells of St. Mary's." Must be that Catholic education from 1-12...

Touch of Evil is great and The Great Dictator is also really good and relevant today with The Interview saga just going down.

One of my all time favorites is from 1964:

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

And Psycho was 1960 if I remember correctly.

Operation Pacific - John Wayne and Patricia Neal were fantastic together.

They Were Expendable - one of the greatest war movies ever. Robert Montgomery character loosely based on John Bulkeley. And Montgomery was a real-life PT boat skipper in WWII.

On the Beach - superb post-apocalyptic movie. Ava Gardner was easy on the eyes too.
