    Dick Vitale belongs there as much as I do.

    Vitale absoutely belongs with that group. They can use some enthusiasm to give some life to the mopefest.

    Happy for Adrian Dantley and Cathy Rush, who deserves it as much as anyone else.

    Also, it's hard to argue Vitale, personal feelings aside. All said, he's contributed to college basketball so much and raised the profile of the sport that he's become, in essence, a cultural icon.

    Truthfully, Dick Vitale has done more to enhance the popularity of college basketball than the rest of the inductees combined.
    Hall of Fame as a contributor...without a doubt.
    He also was named to the National College Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday.
    Great honors for a great guy

    And, yes, I'm very prejudiced on the subject of Dick Vitale.

    Agreed. College basketball wouldn't be nearly as popular as it is today without the contributions of Dick Vitale.

    ESPN (good and/or bad) may owe its existence to Vitale.
