    As one born and raised there, I call Oklahoma for the Midwest, though I prefer the designation of Plains States or Great Plains.

    It's not the south and it's sure not the southwest.

    No, no, no.
    I don't know if you've ever been there, but even Texas isn't apart of the Southwest. It is completely different. Parts of West Texas have a Southwest feel, but it is just not there.

    I think of Oklahoma and parts of Texas as the Great Plains, personally.

    I don't think so. Not the Midwest that includes Indiana and Illinois at any rate.
