OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma football program must forfeit its wins from the 2005 season and will lose two scholarships for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 school years.

    Oklahoma football caught cheating?

No, never. I can't imagine that. Next thing you'll tell me Alabama is in trouble for recruiting violations.....

  3. That's silly. Try to enforce that.

Does that mean that Bomar and Quinn will still be eligible to play this season? Or does their eligibility hinge on paying back the money?

How could OU have ever suspected impropriety at Big Red Sports and Imports???

According to the AP story, the wins in question will be erased, not forfeited.

Apparently the dictionary definition of "forfeit" has changed.

    "Forfeit" means YOU LOSE.

Jebus Fookin Cripes. A meaningless bullshit penalty is made even more meaningless-bullshit by removing what tiny dull teeth it ever had in the first place.

Oklahoma is not 0-4 for the 2005 season. The Sooners are 0-12. Zero and Twelve. You play an ineligible player in a game, You Lose, the Other Team Wins. What's so hard to figure out about that?

If you had a two-year-old sports book ticket from Vegas on OU that had been a loser, could you redeem it now?

Someone verify this for us: I heard on radio that Oklahoma will have their wins taken away from them, but the losses will remain on record. So instead of having a 0-0 or a 0-12 record, the Sooners will reflect a record of 0-4 for 2005. They went 8-4 in '05.

If that is accurate, notch another feather in the cap of the inept NCAA to come up with rules out of their asses.

They were bothed kicked off the team last year. OU self-reported the incident while they were kicking the kids off the team.
