So I'm at the Verizon Center and looking around at all the championship banners, and I see a Bullets 25 banner for Gus Johnson.

That's not the same Gus Johnson who currently announces on CBS is it?

If Gus Johnson's knees hadn't given out early, you'd know all about him. Tremendous leaper at one time. Used to have classic battles at power forward with Dave DeBusschere of the Knicks.

Don't feel bad...a student asked me today who Jesse Owens was.

There is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people who ask questions.

    Got you all beat folks.

At the Bob Hope Classic last month, I actually had a caddie of one of the amateur players come up to me and ask me -- with a straight face, mind you -- the following question:

"What time does the 8:36 group go off?"

Next to that, FH, your inquiry qualifies you as Stephen Hawking.

Awesome. I hope you made it difficult for him by at least asking him what he thought the 8:36 meant.

And you gave him one of these right?

That's when you say, "8:36 p.m. They're bringing in lights for the nighttime groups."
