OK, I'm willing to admit it.

That station and the hustle-bustle surrounding it is just one thing of many that I love about London.
The big city, and all the people going all the different directions. Just a block off the bank of the Thames.
I love standing in the middle of that station. The scattered pigeons flying around in there, the high ceilings.
Wonderful in so many places in Europe - including Waterloo Station

I guess their dislike of eachother or their egos have prevented them from getting on the reunion tour bandwagon most other bands of the late 70s and 80s like to go on to make a buck over the summer.
One of these years I need to catch one of Ray's solo shows.

The reason why no one's arguing here is that this thread, your post included, is too vague for there to be much controversy. Although the continued evolution of Yawn from militaristic neocon to populist, small-L libertarian is kind of weird, albeit a definite step up.

Too bad the sound's so bad on this one. Bowie joins Ray for Waterloo Sunset! :)

    Pretty much.

EDIT: Of course there are already scores of minor parties. I take Yawn's statement to mean that we need electoral reform that would give "third" parties more of a chance. On that point, people from across the political spectrum agree. Everyone seems to want electoral reform...except for the Demopublicans.

I remember in 2004 how some university (U. of St. Louis? Washington U. in St. Louis?...can't remember) hosted a "third party" presidential candidate debate forum. Four parties...Libertarian, Consitutional, Green, Socialist. All four candidates opposed W's Iraq policy...and also agreed on a suprising number of other issues, despite differing on things like health care reform.

Yeah, I understand why this hasn't turned into the typical political thread. Regardless of reason, it's still refreshing to see it. I'm sure a new thread will pop up soon enough to get things back to "normal" around here.

    We need an FDR.

Fat fucking chance of that happening, so I too am considering an extended trip to Europe.

Its true this country sucks in so many ways. The government is spending billions of dollars on spying program and things that have no real interest other then for controlling people, the healthy care system is disaster and our soldiers are dying for more then oil but more for control. We are a messed up country with every player in this field working for themselves and control not for the people. We do have the abilities to change things but if we don't act soon we will have no power.

  10. If things here suck so bad, I suggest you go someplace that doesn't. Where might that be? Funny, it seems as if more people are moving here than leaving.

The grass always is greener on the other side of the fence.
