OK damn it, I'll start a firestorm of posts-Survivor comments?

It brought 31 quickly at midweek; tonight, not even one during-the-show post.

Surprised by the outcome? I wasn't, though it was a coin flip between Uuel and Ozzie.

Wonder what the "controversial" decision in Survivor Fiji is all about? The coup was going on while the show was filmed there. Wonder if it has anything to do with that? Also, interesting that in the racially diverse mix, again, it will include a street person on one end and a Harvard law school grad on the other.

I'm glad they made the final vote three-way, otherwise it was all but certain not to include both Yul and Ozzie, who both certainly deserved to win.

I think I've watched about half of the seasons, and Ozzie was one of the most dominating physically. However, Yul probably was the most brilliant mind the series has seen. His way of luring Jonathan back to their side to win the vote was masterful.

Personally, I was happy with either one of them winning. But I think the right guy got the five votes.

I was sick Ozzie didn't win. Couldn't believe it. Yul, I liked, but couldn't see how 5 people voted for him.

I thought Ozzie deserved it because they could have easily voted him off as one of the strongest competitors very early in the show, but they were so dependent on him for food they couldn't push themselves to doing it for fear of starving. They even contemplated doing so on one show but they went with their gut (pun intended). He kept their bellies full, and they go and vote for Yul. Total bullshit, I thought.

One question I had: Did both runners up get 100K?

Or have they done away with that?

This was the best season in years.

I was surprised Yul won. I wouldn't have had any problem if Ozzie had won. Both were deserving...

What can I say? I love the show...

I did get a little tired of listening to them talk about how they were going to change the world and how they did so much to change perceptions of minorities.

The guy Brad inexplicably said he wanted to change the stereotype of asian american men that they're all brainiacs and said "I thought we did a good job of that." Um, what? A) It sounds like a pretty good stereotype to be saddled with and B) Everyone talked about Yul deserved to win because of the cerebral approach he took to the game. Brad made no sense.

I do believe Yul, or any number of the cast members, were all good people who "represented" their ethnicities well, but some of them sounded like Miss America contestants talking about how they "use my position" to change the world. ::)

Oh, and Yul deserved to win, but you couldn't have gone wrong with voting for him or Ozzy. Both were great players who took different approaches to the finals.

Poor Becky. It was painful watching the jury ask Yul and Ozzy questions while she sat there looking around as if to say, hey, what about me?

Sundra fucked up in the final immunity challenge by not offering a deal to Ozzy. If I were either of those players I would have promised not vote for the other one if that person jumped off and gave me immunity. The other person might not have taken the deal, but after two hours up on those posts, I bet they would have at least thought about it.

I liked that it came down to the best two players... In too many seasons the Final 2 are the best player and the person they dragged along with them... The worst ones are when the person who is dragged along, ends up winning...

This was the best season since All-Stars...

I loved this season. But I have to say, I'm glad Yul won. When it comes down to strategy vs. physical talents, I usually like to see the strategists win.

Ozzy was outstanding, and I did feel bad for him. But he didn't really play the game as much as he could have -- for example, why not go along with Adam and at least draw out the immunity idol to expose Yul and take it out of play?

    Anyway, Yul is the man.

I didn't realize Ozzie had done a porn thing for Playboy Channel where he does two women? One story I read made mention of it...bizarre.

Still have to watch the finale plus reunion on tape, but I wonder if there was much made of the Jonathan-hate. As a big Jonathan fan, Adumb (galoot with the Va Tech cap) should be fed to The U's defensive line, and I wish Parvati was here this weekend when I had stomach flu so I could throw up on her the way she wanted to on Jonathan.

Parvati looked smokin at the reunion...

    Parvati's smile is annoying.
