d_b is reporting that O.J. is headed down the LA freeway in a white Ford Bronco. More on this story as it develops.

Definite_Bunghole is reporting that "The Juice" is enjoying a very stellar 1973 season and is closing in on 2,000 yards rushing.

He can admit it all he wants, and he'll smirk his way down the 18th fairway.

And for what it's worth, the Goldmans and Browns have seen jack shit in terms of the civil settlement.

If he did it, the toll of trying to keep the truth inside has become too heavy of a burden. You read the story and it seems as though he's admitting to the killings. The prefacing "hypothetical" is just OJ's way to soften the blow of his coming clean.

Had a chat with Reggie McKenzie about that once. We are fairly friendly, have had more than a few cocktails at the end of the bar, I've interviewed him for a couple of stories and had the late Cecil Pryor as a mutual friend...
Reggie was absolutely convinced, even under a three Sauza buzz, that OJ didn't do it. OJ said he didn't to him personally, and that was good enough for Reggie. No amount of prodding, "what if" or "don't you think" was going to change his mind for anyone...

He was convinced that O.J. didn't rush for 2K yards in '73?!? ;-)

COnsidering he was found guilty in the civil proceedings, I thought there was a law in place that prevented convicted felons from profitting from their crimes.

It's informally called the "Son of Sam" law. It was used to prevent David Berkowitz from getting rich. But since he wasn't convicted of an actual crime in criminal court, he may be able to get away with it.

There is no federal law, IIRC, regarding profits off criminal crimes. It's a state-by-state thing. I'm not sure what the California statute on that is.
