Oil spill or oil leak?

I think we can all agree on that one. I move that we adopt fossil fuel clusterfuck as the official SportsJournalists.com style reference for the oil in the Gulf. Do I hear a second?

Then again, when you gotta take a leak, that doesn't go up either.

 

Lots of revisiting of this issue today, complete with a great deal of mention of the animal deaths and very little mention of the human deaths from the explosion.

 

Our desk has decided on "oil spew."

(We had been calling it the B Pee Pee.)

 

I had never really thought about it before. It doesn't seem to be a spill. Leak seems not strong enough. But it's better than spill.
