Oil and Halliburton and CEOs

    I would say that I'm about the same in 2008 as 2000. I own a house, instead of renting, but my paycheck hasn't kept up with the cost of living and inflation. Also, my family has had several life circumstances which have affected my financial future.

    Still, the ideal in the U.S. is that people should be getting better off than they were years ago. That hasn't happened.
