True. Kenny Mayne would be good as well.

    Why not Chuck Barkley?

I have a feeling though that it would be better to get a no-name with talent at this certain thing, than a name who is not talented at this certain thing.

There are some guys who do radio in DC called The Sports Junkies who I think with the right direction would really do well.

When they talk sports, and not try to be Howard Stern, they can be very, very funny.

ESPN has gotten so out-of-kilter with 75% of their lineup being shoutfests/smarmy sportscenters and 25% Big Three sports.

It sounded completely weird hearing them talk about Olympic sports like swimming or track and field. The ESPN I've come to know is nothing but too-cute opinion makers and an overkill on the Flavor-of-the-Month subject in the three stick and ball sports, like Favre, TO or Kobe.

They are the last place I'd expect to get information on sports other than football, basketball and baseball.

And that fourth sport's coverage will get worse this year since Barry Melrose will be coaching instead of analyzing.

Yes. And call the show "Feel-Good Edition."

  9. barsuk is right, that jay mohr show was horrible, and stephen a's attempt at late-night didn't go much better. hey, magic johnson is available for another hideous late-night talk show attempt.

Even Charles Barkley thinks that's a turrible idea.

    Chuck makes me laugh.

If it was him on a couch BSing about sports, then it would be a great idea.
