Gotta love the Thursday game since I think most people think those are the two best teams in the NFC or maybe the NFL right now.

I think Seattle is the best team in the league, but I think the Packers match up against them better than anyone else.

Alex Smith has a new four-year extension. Reports say $68M, but don't know structure (yet) or how much he's really guaranteed.

    Cowboys over 49ers.

A popular upset pick given everything that has gone wrong for the Niners over the last few months.

I thought I saw that $45 million of it was guaranteed, which shows he has a better agent than some of his more talented colleagues.

Packers-Seahawks: Curious to see if the Packers' defense plays well. Hopefully not.

    Saints-Falcons: Take the over.

    Vikings-Rams: Hill vs. Cassell!

Browns-Steelers: Terrible fans over pathetic fans

Jaguars-Eagles: Interesting matchup. Jags defense improving.

Raiders-Jets: Would hâve been a great opener 45 years ago.

Bengals-Ravens: I think Dalton will surprise some people. Or he'll throw 5 picks.

Bills-Bears: Like the Packers, reworked defense the big ?

Redskins-Texans: Over/under on times Griffin gets hit: 14

    Titans-Chiefs: Blah.

    Patriots-Dolphins: Both offenses intrigue me.

    Panthers-Bucs: Over/under on turnovers: 9

    49ers-Cowboys: 33-31 Pokes

Colts-Broncos: Peyton will only throw two TDs, but Denver wins by 20.

    Giants-Lions: Big game from Eli.

Chargers-Cardinals: Too late for Jim Bob Rivers' 19 kids to stay up and watch Dad.

    Lions and the over.

That certainly could be true. All the focus on the Giants has been about the offense. I don't think the defense is much better. Although I could see Megatron going for 250 and the Lions blowing it with their usual stupidity in all phases.

I always hate going with the crowd in Survivor leagues, but if Jacksonville beats Philly, at least I know I won't be alone sitting on the sidelines the rest of the way. And hard to trust some of these teams.

Tough matchups for a survivor league. I'm leaning Steelers.

They don't call Manning "The Kitchen Magician" for nothing.

Do we have a Survivor pool here?

It's amazing how tough NFL ones are.
