Official fantasy baseball sleeper thread

Most fantasy drafts are starting up now ... mine actually just finished. But thanks to shitty-ass Time Warner cable, my Internet was down and I got the dreaded auto-draft. So now I must build my team through free agent sleepers ... only, I don't have any.

So here's hoping this thread can offer some help, as I'm sure several of you also will be in need of a few players as well.

My sleepers:

1. Alex Gordon, 3B, Royals
2. Matt Murton, OF, Cubs
3. Matt Garza, SP, Twins

EDIT: scratch Garza, he's starting the year in Triple-A.

 

If Alex Gordon is a sleeper, then we're all in comas.

 

Is he available at other positions than third? I already have ARod.

If anyone has good NL sleepers, I'd be interested.

 

Alex Gordon went undrafted in your 12-team league? Then you are indeed surrounded by 11 comatose owners. If you dont win you should be beaten with antlers.

I would guess he might go undrafted in our 12-team league, of course no one pays attention to the Royals in it.

 

I don't find it that crazy that Alex Gordon would go undrafted. He hasn't proven a thing yet as a major-league hitter.

Now, that doesn't mean he won't catch fire and be snatched up immediately by someone a few weeks into the season. But I can understand people believing there are 12 better third basemen to be had right now.

 

I agree with that statement. Delmon Young and BJ Upton went undrafted in our league last year and I luckily snatched them up before anyone else did.
I am going to be forward thinking this year and draft Philip Hughes, however.

 

I would draft Alex Gordon in any league. Right now.

Doesn't he drive IRL cars?

 

I think I know some of his sons.
