OK, I'm ready to admit that for the past 2 hours, I've been sitting here on my night off watching The Wizard of Oz on TNT.

There was a time when I simply hated this movie. But in the past few years, I've gained a new appreciation for some of the artistry and color effects (especially that damn horse!) and for the wonderful performances of Jack Haley, Ray Bolger and Bert Lahr.

And besides, it's just silly fun!

For years, until I was 12 or so, I totally didn't get the horse of a different color thing. Damned black and white TV!

You didn't appreciate it when it came out?

Damn, this place is going soft...I took an hour and half for somebody to make the first age joke.

Sounds like someone's happy little bluebirds have flown away...

Shouldn't you be out stalking Albom?
    And while we're at it:

    Somewhere over the rainbow
    Way up high,
    There's a land that I heard of
    Once in a lullaby.
    Somewhere over the rainbow
    Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
    Really do come true.

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
    Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
    Away above the chimney tops
    That's where you'll find me.

    Somewhere over the rainbow
    Bluebirds fly.
    Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?

    If happy little bluebirds fly
    Beyond the rainbow
    Why, oh why can't I?

What Spnited doesn't mention is he's also smoking dope, listening to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" and scarfing down a four-pound bag of potato chips. :D :D :D

Spnited, would you like me to add "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" to the playlist? :D
