Oden out for the season

What struck me about that annoying "I told you so" piece is that Simmons never once mentions the fact that even he changed his mind after the final four and said that Oden should be the No. 1 pick and acknowledged after the draft that the Blazers made the right choice.

Now, when the kid suffers a devastating injury, he writes this piece that expresses a little tangential sympathy for the Portland franchise (but, strikingly, none for Oden himself) but really is nothing more than a poorly veiled self-aggrandizing "I told you so" gloat. One in which he neglects to mention that he only told us so in Jan-March but changed his tune from April-June.

As I guy who admits to once liking Simmons' stuff, I must say he really has become a painfully annoying pussbag.
