Yahoo probably realized the surgery was delayed until after season ticket payments were due and put two and two together.
Cripes. What a disaster. How do you go from "minor scope surgery" to this? Did this happen sometime after the draft?
Walton, Bowie, Oden...cue Sonny and Cher "I Got You Babe"...

Oden won't be available, because he'll be at Old Country Buffet for early bird bingo.

Serious time: This sucks for him. At least he got his contract, so in the worst case scenario he'd get that. Whereas if this happened last year, who knows?

I'm guessing this refuels the fire of those who believe high schoolers should be draftable.

Good point, and one tha was brought up in the Oregonian blog. It also said the rest of his knee was fine, so hopefully he can be ready for 08-09.

    Hey, that's 1:30 p.m. Pacific. Bingo doesn't start 'til 2.

I believe Walton had foot problems, not knee problems.

Will Doc Baker be able to do the surgery, or are they going to have to take him down to Mankato?

Let's not be too hasty here. According to the doctors, he's going to be fine for next season.

Lets not slap the Bowie tag on here yet.

    That's sick.
A great player is injured. Good kid, too. You laugh.
Must be a real good day for you?

I just hope they have enough whiskey to keep him drunk enough for when they perform the surgery. It could be a long night in the saloon if not.

The only inaccurate part of your post.

    Unless you're Bob Hope.

You're right. At this point, we need to start with Larue Martin. :D
