espn.com doesn't even have it yet........meaning that it can't be true.

    Oh well.

How freaky would it be if Oden were to be caught walking around wearing a Robert Parish jersey?

    The two are identical.

That Oregon Trail must have been hard on his weakened knees.

And before he got to kill his first thousand pounds of buffalo, too ...

What a terrible blow to a team that appeared to have a lot of potential. I was looking forward to watching him play and develop this season.

    Done.

ESPN is quoting the team doctor.

The Trail Blazers morale must be pretty low right now. Maybe it's time to kill an oxen for food.

You know, I feel bad for him. I actually like the kid/man/elder.

The WWII line is from an interview Oden gave about one rival's fan yelling it at him when he was playing. He thought it was the funniest things he heard all season.

According to ESPN News, the news conference is going to be at 4:30 p.m. EST.

Between the wrist and now the knee, this season of rest and physical rebuilding could be the best thing in the long run for Oden and the team. I don't think Paul Allen will be driven off as a result.
