I'm gonna go with the seal, which looked to me like he was eating the octopus alive.

But that's just me.

A shark would kill them both, obviously.

My wife and I were watching a National Geographic program this morning on the most lethal predators in the wild, and a seal-octopus battle was part of it. Also had a pride of lions bringing down a water buffalo, and a herd of buffalo turning the tables on a lioness, where they treed her and waited for fatigue to set in. Fascinating stuff.

 

That sounds like vigilante, frontier justice. The animal kingdom's equivalent of an old west lynch mob.

 

I know that octopus is delicious.
I have yet to try seal or sea lion.
