Can you guess which paper it is?

If you knew the guy running the sports department, it wouldn't surprise you in the least.

So the OCR is doing a day in the life thing. Cute.

It's been a long day already, so I might have overlooked it, but I'm not seeing anything in this memo that says the OCR is becoming the official team site of the Angels.

"Flooding the zone," to use an old New York Times expression? Yes. Becoming the mouthpiece of the team? Not seeing it.

There's nothing wrong with massive coverage of an event, especially if you think you have audience interest to back it up. So, beyond the cutsie "News Mob" name, what's the beef here? I forget ... is overkill a mortal sin or a venial sin?

The only surprise is that poindexter didn't start this thread.

Is this going to include Mark Whicker writing to tell Donnie Moore what a good time he's missing?

I agree. God forbid a newspaper actually increase coverage of something. Don't they know cutbacks are all the rage?

No. 1 nominee for most mis-leading subject line of the year.

It has to be the leader right now.

    I don't think it's a terrible idea, really. I don't envy the editors, though.

I think it's an interesting concept. How in the heck did he pull this off?

Also yeah, please change the subject line.

Yeah, I read this the other day and didn't think twice about it.
