Read the story, and I instantly I had this image of Whitlock standing in the on-deck circle, swinging a pair of bats and adjusting his batting gloves...

Funny, because I instantly had this image from Field of Reams -- the one of the doped-up porn chick who looks a little like Whitlock taking the barrel of a Louisville Slugger up her cram hole.

 

Damn.

Seems like a little more grandstanding and downtalking from her.

 

Whitlock aside, that was a really good column by Gene. Made me feel the excitement in the room.
