    I would sit Newton for the rest of the year, even with a playoff possibility.

    This Carolina team isn't a Super Bowl contender. Sure they might win the NFC South but are they going to beat Philadelphia, Seattle or Green Bay? Nope.

    Don't potentially wreck a young QB for the right to get your butt kicked on Wild Card Weekend. Newton doesn't need another listless home playoff loss on top of the crash.

    I was thinking he also started Game 2, but was mistaken. People forget that Tampa was a trendy playoff pick back in Week 1.
