Observer: Cam Newton in serious car crash

    That's right in front of the stadium. Wonder how fast he had to be going to do that much damage to the vehicle and/or himself?

    Are we sure he was at fault? One Twitter report said a car ran a red light and hit him. So much out on Twitter right now, including something that says he broke a leg. No idea what's credible or what to believe.

    The broken leg rumor is a re-write of a hoax post that has made the rounds several times with various names attached to it.

    Can't get the Observer story to pull up. Here's a report from WSOC-TV. Witness says the truck flipped four times. Looks pretty crushed.
