I was gonna guess Lasorda. So I looked it up and he got one hit in 1956 for K.C.

He didn't. But he's not an HOFer yet because he hasn't been inducted. He will be the only HOFer inducted as a player without a hit and run when he becomes a HOFer.

The current HOFer without a hit did score four times. He also scored a run in the postseason, but did not have a hit.

Walter Alston did appear in an MLB game and does not have a hit or a run, but he was inducted as a manager, not as a player.

And Bob Griese is the only other Dolphin QB to be named to a Pro Bowl in franchise history.

Bob Griese never got a base hit in the bigs, too.

Nope. He was a career .172 hitter and even had two homers.

    Hoffman?

Nope. Trevor Hoffman had four hits, two of which were doubles.

The answer is most identified with the team he spent most of his career with, but he had his signature MLB moment playing for another.

Bingo! I figured the clue would give it away. The Tigers must have used him as a pinch-runner a lot, he scored three times in 1983 alone.

Speaking of the Dolphins, the first kickoff they received in their first exhibition game in their first season (1966) was returned for a touchdown. Who returned the kick?
