    Yes, Tom Flores.

He was a six-year full-time starter and started games in eight AFL seasons. He certainly wasn't obscure if you were an AFL fan, which I was.

You must be pushing Social Security eligibility. I was three during the AFL's final season. Turn 54 this month.

It was a good question. Like cyclingwriter2 stated earlier ... I, too, was kicking myself for not thinking of Flores. Should have remembered the film of him standing around Hank Stram during Super Bowl IV.

Edit: I've got a Sabres question for you. If you don't mind, please consult the NHL thread. Thanks.

I knew he’d played but wasn’t sure he was still in the league in the SB era. Has a solid case for Canton. Probably as much as Dungy

Jim Kaat is probably one, as he pitched for 25 seasons. Maybe Nolan Ryan too? And for the last I'll guess Eckersley.

It is a tough one. I will give clues. Two of them are in the Hall of Fame. one of them in recent memory. The third guy had a career losing record — only five winning seasons in 22 years— and was mainly a starter.

Anyway, I'll toss Dennis Martinez up against the wall as the non-HOF.

Is it that Jack Powell character again?

Other two? Maybe Warren Spahn and Cy Young?

And I'm 0-3 again. I'm gonna go sit in the corner now.

this thread may be the most time jack Powell written about in about century.

third guy pitched from the 1970s to the 2000s.
