Obama's approval rating sinks to new low

If we don't have a hurricane wipe out Houston and nothing happens in Iran, gas will be back to $3 by Labor Day and won't be an issue. These prices are unsustainable with dropping demand and increasing supply, and the bubble will pop, just like in 2008.

But then again, supply and demand alone hasn't governed oil prices in about seven years.

The polls conducted by all these highly reputable news organizations in the last week indicate to me that maybe we shouldn't have any more threads on polls.

 

We do seem to be hitting the high-noise-to-signal point earlier this cycle.

 

It all depends how many hundred billion dollars the oil companies and the Wall Street specualators think they can fuck out of the public.

The plan in 2008 was to ass-fuck the American public all summer long for every nickel they possibly could, then back off after Labor Day, in time to get their boy McCain elected. (Lookee! GOP policies are bringing oil prices down! [Never mind we tripled them in the interim.] Stay the course!!)

But they slightly miscalculated, sent the entire economy of the world plunging into the abyss in the bargain and McCain went down in the wreckage. This time the oilboys and the Wall Streeters WANT to get rid of the administration, so the ass-fucking will probably last until Election day.
