Obama serves notice: He won't let the Republicans swift-boat him

  1. Complete bullshit.
What "core allegations" haven't been refuted?
    Come on.
    But believe what you want.

I'll rephrase it: the column is historically and politically inacurrate. The fact that you don't even see that speaks volumes of your lack of, well, knowledge.

I thought the core allegation was that one candidate actually served in Vietnam, and the other couldn't be bothered to even show up in Alabama. Perhaps I've misremembered.

It's the Kennedy-Nixon of this generation, the new frontier against the establishment.

And as far as the Swift Boat fiasco goes, Kerry was in Vietnam getting shot at while Bush was hiding out and getting hammered in Alabama. That's it in a nutshell.

And to counter that thought, how many will vote for Obama because he's black. The recent Mississippi special election, not to mention the primaries, have shown his ability to inspire black voters -- many of whom might not have voted before -- to come out in large numbers.

Is it enough to offset or even surpass the anti-black vote? We'll see.

Of course Jimmy Carter can visit all the tinpot dicators he wants and criticize George Bush directly on foreign soil, but George Bush can't imply something about a candidate for office without the libs getting their panties in a wad.

  9. Of course, Bush is the president.
    Small difference.

  10. Yeah, because President Stupid is supposed to be president of the whole fucking country. He's supposed to speak for all of us, even the people who didn't vote for him. But since this feckless child has never seen his office as anything except a way to work out his Daddy issues and enrich his friends, it's too late to expect anything better of him now.

Which foreign legislature was Carter addressing? At what point did he draw the comparison to Neville Chamberlain? At what point did Carter imply that "appeasement" of this kind was responsible for the Holocaust?

At what point did Carter then fly on to Saudi Arabia - the nation that birthed 15 of the 19 hijackers - to beg the next day for more oil?
