So what?

I didn't do drugs, I knew of classmates that did, but I drank, chased girls -- with very little success -- and failed to apply myself through high school as well.

Doesn't mean I'm not a good guy with great intentions now.

 

I'd be leary of anybody who claimed he DIDN'T do any of those things in high school.

 

Wasn't all of this in his biography that came out years ago?

Sounds like the kind of guy I'd like to have a beer with. He's got my vote.

 

I didn't do drugs or drink alcohol in high school, but I made up for lost time in college.

 

With all the problems in America now, I don't think anyone should give a shit about who did what in high school.

In fact, if anything, it makes him more endearing and authentic.

 

At least he didn't admit to chasing boys.

 

Again, though, why now? He went through this at least a year ago. (He was asked in re: weed if he'd inhaled. "That was sort of the point," was his answer.)
