    I was just thinking about what an inappropriate, inopportune time to have that dinner this year.

    Good for the NYT. Maybe others will follow suit??

    The real reason the NYT wants nothing more to do with it was the appearance of Sanjaya Malakar at the dinner.

    About time. Always amazes me when the whole gang gets together to yuk it up over those wacky little mishaps and misunderstandings. Loved the Halberstam reference.

    You can't blame the guys who book the hosts -- you can't get more cutting edge comedy than Rich Little!
