I just read last week that their paywall was ready to launch. Could be tied to that.

I gave a friend a Sunday subscription for Christmas. It coincidentally also came with a log-in and access to all the articles. Who knew?

I don't understand the point of your post.

I never had to log in before.

Today I had to log in.

I'm not complaining about it. Whatever. I hope they start charging.

I was just curious if anyone was aware of what was going on, from a business model standpoint.

I wasn't asking to be talked down to.

Nobody really knows what's going on...

I do not have to log in every time, because the cookie does that for me.

They have had this for a whole as far as I know.

No log in for me. And maybe this can turn into a running paywall thread.

Dallas Morning News tomorrow goes behind a paywall.

The WSJ says the Times is in the "final testing phase" of having online subscriptions.

Also, the WSJ says it has 200,000 paid subscribers on its mobile devices, including the iPad and Kindle.

I sure hope we're on the pathway to a solution.
