Then it should be fairly simple for you to come up with some of these inflammatory remarks to back yourself up.

Wouldn't the cops be like 90 percent responsible for creating an anti-cop atmosphere?

It's not anti-cop, it's anger with cop behavior in certain situations. If we don't change the root of the behavior it's just always going to be the same old shit.

    What's the root behavior?

Should the cops have engaged Michael Brown and/or Eric Garner?

If the answer is yes, then how the events spiraled out of control was not entirely of their doing.

If folks want to have an honest discussion about how aggressive policing should be, and what procedures should be followed, that's great. We should have it.

When did the aggressive policing begin? Is there any way to reverse course?

Have we become such a violent unstable America that aggressive policing isn't even the biggest variable in the equation?

The "discussion" began over the NYPD's illegal stop-and-frisk tactics -- well before Garner or Brown got killed. The cops feelings got hurt.

    YF,
Should the Cleveland officer had waited more than 1.5 seconds before shooting a black 12-year-old with a toy gun?

If the kid had been white, would the same thing had happened?

Sure we can reverse course, and enjoy seeing 2,000 people murdered each year in New York City instead of 400.

You don't really think murders are down because police slap around (and sometimes kill) people like Eric Garner, do you?

No, but I do think they are down because things that used to be tolerated are no longer tolerated.
