    Abbie Hoffman weeps.

OWS should have hired the Arab Spring leaders as consultants. They took down 2 countries and are about to take down a 3rd. OWS could not even hold a tiny park.

The movement looks stronger than ever as a result of Bloomberg's actions:

That looks like a normal day in the NYC Parks. If anything is going to get done they need something like this:

Now that's a riot. When the protestors were mentally tough and the music was better.

The news on the Library does not sound good:

The ups and downs of this story are really getting to me.

I was so happy when I though the books were saved.

Stunning that you should advocate the destruction of books. Utterly, utterly stunning.

If it looks like a police state and it acts like a police state ...

(But things are worse in other places! And that means they're OK here!)

Rather than start a new thread, I'll just add this here. Granny gets maced.

I have heard elsewhere that what's dripping off her face may in fact be a solution used to treat the effects of pepper spray, rather than the spray itself.

But still. I await the rationalization of the pepper-spraying of octogenarians.

They should pepper spray Joe Paterno just because.

Well, what matters most is that the police got her under control. Along with the pregnant teen. And the priest. All's well that ends well.

I await the vigorous arguments in defense of, um, whatever.
