I don't doubt it, but why single one player out now? They've already released A-Rod's name on the list and now Sosa. Why not just release the entire damn list. Get it out there already so all the speculating and finger pointing can stop.

Actually, the finger pointing won't stop, but it will sure as hell open a lot of eyes.

This is part of the problem. Too many people care too damn much about the Hall of Fame. That should be the least of anyone's concern, especially Sosa, who could be facing charges for lying to Congress.

Damn good point. Forgot about Sammy's appearance before Congress. McGwire's "not here to talk about the past" strategy is lookin a lot smarter nowadays. He might've looked like a wussy, but at least he doesn't have worry about possibly facing federal perjury charges.

I wonder if this news is enough for Congress to demand that the remaining 102 people on that list be revealed.

The MLBPA would have a field day with that, but Sosa and A-Rod have already been named, there's no saying that Clemens, McGwire, etc. aren't on that list, either.

Congress cannot demand jack shit. Confidentiality is in the contract, and Congress can't break contracts between private parties. A law to that effect would cause gales of laughter in every federal court in the land. And frankly, John Roberts looks like he could use a good laugh.

Just because the law has been broken twice does not mean it should be done even more.

    Bud Selig is an idiot.

There are still, what, 102 unnamed players? You're all under suspicion.
