    AGREED!!! as a lifetime noo yawka who has spent some time in just about every major metro in the u.s. of a., i've long been on record saying the san francisco area is the lone place i could ever imagine living other than n.y.

    Boy, we haven't hauled that out in a long, long time.

    No, the vast majority of my career -- all but 10 1/2 of 33 1/2 years -- has been spent in Florida, and all but three of that in South Florida.

    I do, however, love San Francisco, although it was probably a more fun city (rooftop bars and all that) in my drinking days.

    no offense, sf, 'cause ya know i respect you as much as i do anyone in 'SportsJournalists.com nation,' but SF will always be san franciso to me, not south florida...
