Well, don't applaud it while driving.

I'll hold the wheel with my thumbs and pound it with my fingers, just like when some bitchin' tune comes on the '80s station.

But what happens when the drum solo hits?

The people who are in favor of this ban are probably also the pendejos who think it's ok to "go 5 over" because a speed limit isn't really serious.

In the interest of tactlessly redirecting this thread onto a different tack, this:

    Now, some questions for everyone:

    Have seatbelt laws been effective?

    Have speed limits been effective?

Is the enforcement of a cell phone ban intended to be primary or secondary? I.e., will a cop pull you over for texting? Or will he notice you first for speeding, then tack on the cell phone infraction?

It's funny to look back in the early '80s at how controversial mandatory seat belts for cars were. Things that we take for granted today, like over-the-shoulder harnesses, were fought tooth-and-nail by the Reagan administration. There were heated, heated battles in the courts.

I think you mean "tact" on the cell phone infraction. :D

(all in fun, Dick, before you think I'm attacking)
