NT Times ombudsman says moveon.org got improper ad rate

    Do you really think moveon was the first client to get a big discount to get an ad in on a slow sales day?

    You can't possibly think that and work at a newspaper.

    I'm sure it was just a coincidence. And I'm sure Sak's or Macy's will get the same rate for the Christmas season (I haven't figured out the blue font yet).
    And let's not forget something friends: this isn't me or anyone else calling out the Times. Their own ombudsman called bullshit on it.

    The ombud said the sales dept. erred in not making clear that the standby rate didn't guarantee placement on a specific day.

    That doesn't seem to be the argument you're making.


    But continue on your hypothetical adventure, by all means.
